Gajrela is a traditional Pakistani dessert made from Carrots, rice flour and sugar. It is typically eaten during the every festival.

It is believed that Gajrela was invented by a 12-year-old boy who had been invited to a Eid party but forgot to bring any sweets. He went to his grandmother’s kitchen and found some carrots rice flour and sugar, then he mixed all these things and made a dessert.

Ingredients:

1: Red carrots a walk
2: Rice and half basmati rice
3: Water six seers
4: Three feet of ghee
5: Egyptian finely ground dosir
6: Doseer milk
7: Nutmeg paste as required
8: Pistachios as needed
9: Finely ground small cardamom pods as required

Method:

1: Peel and clean the carrots and grind them into thin strips through a grater.

2: Wash the rice with water and put it in the carrots and put six cups of water in them and put it on fire.

3: When the water dries up, add ghee and fry it well and add almonds as required.

4: Grind it and mix it, then add milk and let it cook on a low flame.

5: When the mixture becomes thick and can be coagulated, put ghee in a pan and pour it.

6:Embellishments: Silver foils are beautifully decorated on the frozen material.

7: When it freezes, cut it like a barfi. This carrot Gajrela is heart- and brain-strengthening and very tasty and delicious.
