Chicken Shashlik Gravy Recipe

Chicken Shashlik Gravy Recipe From the Turkish word shish, which means skewer, comes the word shashlik. The recipe is from Turkmenistan, a country whose cuisine is influenced by Turkey. Along with some vegetables, usually onion and bell pepper, the beef is skewered and grilled after being marinated in spices and vinegar. Meat choices include lamb, chicken, and even fish. As the recipe has spread throughout time, other variations have emerged. This specific cuisine was inspired by Pakistan. Since it is a Pakistani variation, gravy must be included. Due to the use of soy sauce, this dish has some Chinese influence and is typically served with Hakka style Chinese dishes.
